- Cellophane is too weak to protect the held items, but the reclosable bags made of this material are extremely lightweight.
- The LDPE polythene can protect the held items from dirt, scratches and moisture.
- The MDPE will additionally protect them from punctures and tears.
- The HDPE will protect them from all of the above and more.
- If you want the utmost protection, you may want to consider the bags made of tough vinyl.

- Their color can vary in the entire spectrum, from black and white to pink and blue.
Opacity of resealable bags
- Opacity can range from crystal-clear to completely opaque.
- Opacity of the material goes hand in hand with its durability.
- The clearest reclosable bags are the least durable and vice versa.
- Clear films are used for display, while opaque are used for hiding or protecting the held items from sunlight.
