• Pallet is a stretchable sheet of plastic that is supplied on a roll.
• The elastic recovery keeps items that it is wrapped around together.
• Pallet wrap is often used in packaging to wrap cardboard boxes together on a pallet.
• This palletises a load for easy and secure shipment.
• The most common form of pallet wrap is LLDPE which stands for linear low density polyethylene.
• Many pallet wrap films have a stretch capacity of 500%.
• Pallet wrap films are stretched from about 100% to 300% when used.
• Properties of pallet wrap include breaking strength, cling, clarity, puncture resistance and tear resistance.

• It is important not to apply too much tension as this can damage the cardboard boxes.
• Pallet wrap on an extended core avoid the need to buy a pallet wrapper.
• The extended core acts as a handle to hold while the core spins whilst wrapping the the pallet.
